Who we are and where we are Our last AGM was on Wednesday, 27th January 2021, where Council presented the Annual Report for the year 2019/20. We have a short history of how we got to where we are now since our founding in 1931. There is a catalogue of all the films we have shown in Seasons 1999-2020 with their audience reaction figures. We operate in association with Union Films at Southampton University Students Union, who provide the facilities and projection services. The entrance to the Cinema is behind Union Films Box Office and the Union Reception in the foyer of Building 42. The closest satnav postcode is SO17 1TL by 31 University Road, which leads to the car park south of the Jubilee Sport Centre, Building 18. Please use the Union Reception for any special deliveries/pickups (e.g. back-up media, 35mm film). It is open from 0800-2030 every day (except around public holidays). The full site address is below. Preferably, use couriers services other than Royal Mail as the latter do not deliver direct to Union Reception, which can result in delay or loss. Union Films Projection Note that the postcode does not correspond to Building 42. The full UK Grid Reference of the Union at Building 42 is SU 42452 15173. The closest postcode is SO17 1TL.
As a charity, we are entirely volunteer run. We gratefully acknowledge support from the University of Southampton through Southampton University Student Union (SUSU) and its film club, Union Films.
