Who we are and where we are
The last AGM was on Wednesday, 14th November 2018, where Council presented the Annual Report for the year 2017/18. Our next AGM is on Wednesday, 20th November 2019 at or near Union Films Cinema. The Annual Report for 2018/19 will be available here once approved by Phoenix Council.
We have a short history of how we got to where we are now since our founding in 1931. There is a catalogue (200k pdf) of all the films we have shown in Seasons 1999-2018 with their audience reaction figures.
We operate in association with Union Films at Southampton University Students Union, who provide the facilities and projection services.
The entrance to the Cinema is behind Union Films Box Office and the Union Reception in the foyer of Building 42. The closest satnav postcode is SO17 1TL by 31 University Road, which leads to the car park south of the Jubilee Sport Centre, Building 18.
Please use the Union Reception for any special deliveries/pickups (e.g. back-up media, 35mm film). It is open from 0800-2030 every day (except around public holidays).
The full site address is below. Preferably, use couriers services other than Royal Mail as the latter do not deliver direct to Union Reception, which can result in delay or loss.
